New medication = new Emi. Emi is doing great on the new medicine, very chatty and content the last few days. We have our fingers crossed that the improvement will hold.
Emi has also discovered that she can shout! This is totally different from crying. She does her normal sounds, best transcribed as "aanh, aanh, wah, aah, aanh" but just belts them out, "AANH, AANH, WAH, AAH, AANH!" Then a big smile. She most often is inspired to talk by a fluffy white and pink rabbit that we cause to kiss her on her nose. In the new shouty voice, it sounds like she is giving the rabbit a stern talking to.
Tuck, meanwhile, is talking mostly to mobiles. With us, and with our friend's parents that he met at brunch today, he just smiles and does a kind of half-laugh. At home he also talks to his hands and to his blanket. For a long time, like 10 minutes or more at a stretch. Is this normal? How come I never heard that babies usually start out talking to inanimate objects?
In general, Tuck really likes to have something to hold onto, a blanket or stuffed animal. Emi doesn't care so much.
One of these days I will post some audio on this site, I really will. Today we captured a few minutes of video of Emi shouting at the bunny, so we should be able to take the sound off of that.
